How To Uninstall rdup On Debian 9

To uninstall rdup just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rdup

utility to create a file list suitable for making backupsDebian 9.0utils1.1.15-1
sudo apt-get remove rdup

This will remove just the rdup package itself.

Uninstall rdup and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rdup

This will remove the rdup package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rdup then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rdup

Or similarly, like this rdup

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rdup
