How To Uninstall read-edid On Debian 9

To uninstall read-edid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just read-edid

hardware information-gathering tool for VESA PnP monitorsDebian 9.0utils3.0.2-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove read-edid

This will remove just the read-edid package itself.

Uninstall read-edid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove read-edid

This will remove the read-edid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for read-edid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge read-edid

Or similarly, like this read-edid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove read-edid
