How To Uninstall reconf-inetd On Debian 9

To uninstall reconf-inetd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just reconf-inetd

maintainer script for programmatic updates of inetd.confDebian 9.0net1.120603
sudo apt-get remove reconf-inetd

This will remove just the reconf-inetd package itself.

Uninstall reconf-inetd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove reconf-inetd

This will remove the reconf-inetd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for reconf-inetd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge reconf-inetd

Or similarly, like this reconf-inetd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove reconf-inetd
