How To Uninstall recordmydesktop On Debian 9

To uninstall recordmydesktop just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just recordmydesktop

sudo apt-get remove recordmydesktop

This will remove just the recordmydesktop package itself.

Uninstall recordmydesktop and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove recordmydesktop

This will remove the recordmydesktop package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for recordmydesktop then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge recordmydesktop

Or similarly, like this recordmydesktop

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove recordmydesktop
