How To Uninstall redis-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall redis-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just redis-tools

Persistent key-value database with network interface (client)Debian 9.0database3:3.2.6-1
sudo apt-get remove redis-tools

This will remove just the redis-tools package itself.

Uninstall redis-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove redis-tools

This will remove the redis-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for redis-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge redis-tools

Or similarly, like this redis-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove redis-tools
