How To Uninstall redshift On Debian 9

To uninstall redshift just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just redshift

Adjusts the color temperature of your screenDebian 9.0x111.11-1
sudo apt-get remove redshift

This will remove just the redshift package itself.

Uninstall redshift and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove redshift

This will remove the redshift package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for redshift then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge redshift

Or similarly, like this redshift

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove redshift
