How To Uninstall rename On Debian 9

To uninstall rename just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rename

Perl extension for renaming multiple filesDebian 9.0perl0.20-4
sudo apt-get remove rename

This will remove just the rename package itself.

Uninstall rename and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rename

This will remove the rename package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rename then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rename

Or similarly, like this rename

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rename
