How To Uninstall resolvconf On Debian 9

To uninstall resolvconf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just resolvconf

name server information handlerDebian 9.0net1.79
sudo apt-get remove resolvconf

This will remove just the resolvconf package itself.

Uninstall resolvconf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove resolvconf

This will remove the resolvconf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for resolvconf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge resolvconf

Or similarly, like this resolvconf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove resolvconf
