How To Uninstall rinetd On Debian 9

To uninstall rinetd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rinetd

Internet TCP redirection serverDebian 9.0net0.62.1sam-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove rinetd

This will remove just the rinetd package itself.

Uninstall rinetd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rinetd

This will remove the rinetd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rinetd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rinetd

Or similarly, like this rinetd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rinetd
