How To Uninstall root-tail On Debian 9

To uninstall root-tail just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just root-tail

Displays select log files in the X root windowDebian 9.0x111.2-4
sudo apt-get remove root-tail

This will remove just the root-tail package itself.

Uninstall root-tail and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove root-tail

This will remove the root-tail package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for root-tail then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge root-tail

Or similarly, like this root-tail

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove root-tail
