How To Uninstall ros-nav-msgs On Debian 9

To uninstall ros-nav-msgs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ros-nav-msgs

Messages relating to Robot OS nav, definitionsDebian 9.0devel1.12.5-2
sudo apt-get remove ros-nav-msgs

This will remove just the ros-nav-msgs package itself.

Uninstall ros-nav-msgs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ros-nav-msgs

This will remove the ros-nav-msgs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ros-nav-msgs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ros-nav-msgs

Or similarly, like this ros-nav-msgs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ros-nav-msgs
