How To Uninstall rsh-server On Debian 9

To uninstall rsh-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rsh-server

server program for remote shell connectionsDebian 9.0net0.17-17+b1
sudo apt-get remove rsh-server

This will remove just the rsh-server package itself.

Uninstall rsh-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rsh-server

This will remove the rsh-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rsh-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rsh-server

Or similarly, like this rsh-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rsh-server
