How To Uninstall rssh On Debian 9

To uninstall rssh just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rssh

Restricted shell allowing scp, sftp, cvs, svn, rsync or rdistDebian 9.0net2.3.4-5
sudo apt-get remove rssh

This will remove just the rssh package itself.

Uninstall rssh and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rssh

This will remove the rssh package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rssh then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rssh

Or similarly, like this rssh

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rssh
