How To Uninstall rsyslog-doc On Debian 9

To uninstall rsyslog-doc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rsyslog-doc

documentation for rsyslogDebian 9.0doc8.24.0-1
sudo apt-get remove rsyslog-doc

This will remove just the rsyslog-doc package itself.

Uninstall rsyslog-doc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rsyslog-doc

This will remove the rsyslog-doc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rsyslog-doc then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rsyslog-doc

Or similarly, like this rsyslog-doc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rsyslog-doc
