How To Uninstall ruby-activeldap On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-activeldap just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-activeldap

ActiveLdap is a object-oriented API to LDAPDebian 9.0ruby4.0.6-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-activeldap

This will remove just the ruby-activeldap package itself.

Uninstall ruby-activeldap and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-activeldap

This will remove the ruby-activeldap package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-activeldap then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-activeldap

Or similarly, like this ruby-activeldap

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-activeldap
