How To Uninstall ruby-activerecord On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-activerecord just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-activerecord

object-relational mapper framework (part of Rails)Debian 9.0ruby2:4.2.7.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-activerecord

This will remove just the ruby-activerecord package itself.

Uninstall ruby-activerecord and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-activerecord

This will remove the ruby-activerecord package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-activerecord then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-activerecord

Or similarly, like this ruby-activerecord

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-activerecord
