How To Uninstall ruby-ae On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ae just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ae

assertive expressive (ae) is an assertions libraryDebian 9.0ruby1.8.2-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ae

This will remove just the ruby-ae package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ae and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ae

This will remove the ruby-ae package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ae then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ae

Or similarly, like this ruby-ae

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ae
