How To Uninstall ruby-amq-protocol On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-amq-protocol just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-amq-protocol

AMQP 0.9.1 encoder & decoderDebian 9.0ruby2.0.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-amq-protocol

This will remove just the ruby-amq-protocol package itself.

Uninstall ruby-amq-protocol and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-amq-protocol

This will remove the ruby-amq-protocol package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-amq-protocol then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-amq-protocol

Or similarly, like this ruby-amq-protocol

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-amq-protocol
