How To Uninstall ruby-ansi On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ansi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ansi

ANSI escape codes at your fingertipsDebian 9.0ruby1.5.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ansi

This will remove just the ruby-ansi package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ansi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ansi

This will remove the ruby-ansi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ansi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ansi

Or similarly, like this ruby-ansi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ansi
