How To Uninstall ruby-ascii85 On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ascii85 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ascii85

Ruby library to encode/decode the Ascii85 formatDebian 9.0ruby1.0.2-3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ascii85

This will remove just the ruby-ascii85 package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ascii85 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ascii85

This will remove the ruby-ascii85 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ascii85 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ascii85

Or similarly, like this ruby-ascii85

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ascii85
