How To Uninstall ruby-atomic On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-atomic just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-atomic

atomic reference implementation for JRuby, Rubinius, and MRIDebian 9.0ruby1.1.16-2+b6
sudo apt-get remove ruby-atomic

This will remove just the ruby-atomic package itself.

Uninstall ruby-atomic and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-atomic

This will remove the ruby-atomic package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-atomic then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-atomic

Or similarly, like this ruby-atomic

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-atomic
