How To Uninstall ruby-benchmark-ips On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-benchmark-ips just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-benchmark-ips

iterations per second enhancement to BenchmarkDebian 9.0ruby1.2.0+git.20130609.e47e416-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-benchmark-ips

This will remove just the ruby-benchmark-ips package itself.

Uninstall ruby-benchmark-ips and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-benchmark-ips

This will remove the ruby-benchmark-ips package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-benchmark-ips then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-benchmark-ips

Or similarly, like this ruby-benchmark-ips

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-benchmark-ips
