How To Uninstall ruby-capture-output On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-capture-output just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-capture-output

Ruby library to grab given IO output and return it as a stringDebian 9.0ruby1.0.0-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-capture-output

This will remove just the ruby-capture-output package itself.

Uninstall ruby-capture-output and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-capture-output

This will remove the ruby-capture-output package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-capture-output then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-capture-output

Or similarly, like this ruby-capture-output

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-capture-output
