How To Uninstall ruby-carrierwave On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-carrierwave just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-carrierwave

Ruby file upload libraryDebian 9.0ruby0.10.0+gh-4
sudo apt-get remove ruby-carrierwave

This will remove just the ruby-carrierwave package itself.

Uninstall ruby-carrierwave and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-carrierwave

This will remove the ruby-carrierwave package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-carrierwave then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-carrierwave

Or similarly, like this ruby-carrierwave

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-carrierwave
