How To Uninstall ruby-cat On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-cat just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-cat

Create Ruby objects in a sandboxDebian 9.0ruby0.2.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-cat

This will remove just the ruby-cat package itself.

Uninstall ruby-cat and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-cat

This will remove the ruby-cat package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-cat then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-cat

Or similarly, like this ruby-cat

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-cat
