How To Uninstall ruby-chef-config On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-chef-config just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-chef-config

Chef configuration libraryDebian 9.0ruby12.14.60-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-chef-config

This will remove just the ruby-chef-config package itself.

Uninstall ruby-chef-config and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-chef-config

This will remove the ruby-chef-config package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-chef-config then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-chef-config

Or similarly, like this ruby-chef-config

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-chef-config
