How To Uninstall ruby-childprocess On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-childprocess just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-childprocess

Ruby library for controlling external programs running in the backgroundDebian 9.0ruby0.5.9-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-childprocess

This will remove just the ruby-childprocess package itself.

Uninstall ruby-childprocess and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-childprocess

This will remove the ruby-childprocess package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-childprocess then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-childprocess

Or similarly, like this ruby-childprocess

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-childprocess
