How To Uninstall ruby-colorator On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-colorator just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-colorator

String core extensions for terminal coloringDebian 9.0ruby1.1.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-colorator

This will remove just the ruby-colorator package itself.

Uninstall ruby-colorator and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-colorator

This will remove the ruby-colorator package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-colorator then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-colorator

Or similarly, like this ruby-colorator

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-colorator
