How To Uninstall ruby-colorize On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-colorize just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-colorize

color methods to Ruby String classDebian 9.0ruby0.8.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-colorize

This will remove just the ruby-colorize package itself.

Uninstall ruby-colorize and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-colorize

This will remove the ruby-colorize package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-colorize then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-colorize

Or similarly, like this ruby-colorize

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-colorize
