How To Uninstall ruby-delayed-job On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-delayed-job just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-delayed-job

database-backed asynchronous priority queue systemDebian 9.0ruby4.0.6-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-delayed-job

This will remove just the ruby-delayed-job package itself.

Uninstall ruby-delayed-job and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-delayed-job

This will remove the ruby-delayed-job package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-delayed-job then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-delayed-job

Or similarly, like this ruby-delayed-job

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-delayed-job
