How To Uninstall ruby-dep-selector On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-dep-selector just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-dep-selector

assignment of version to packages given their dependenciesDebian 9.0ruby1.0.3-2+b4
sudo apt-get remove ruby-dep-selector

This will remove just the ruby-dep-selector package itself.

Uninstall ruby-dep-selector and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-dep-selector

This will remove the ruby-dep-selector package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-dep-selector then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-dep-selector

Or similarly, like this ruby-dep-selector

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-dep-selector
