How To Uninstall ruby-directory-watcher On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-directory-watcher just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-directory-watcher

Watch directory/files and Generate events by file changeDebian 9.0ruby1.5.1-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-directory-watcher

This will remove just the ruby-directory-watcher package itself.

Uninstall ruby-directory-watcher and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-directory-watcher

This will remove the ruby-directory-watcher package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-directory-watcher then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-directory-watcher

Or similarly, like this ruby-directory-watcher

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-directory-watcher
