How To Uninstall ruby-dnsruby On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-dnsruby just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-dnsruby

Ruby DNS and DNSSEC client libraryDebian 9.0ruby1.54-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-dnsruby

This will remove just the ruby-dnsruby package itself.

Uninstall ruby-dnsruby and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-dnsruby

This will remove the ruby-dnsruby package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-dnsruby then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-dnsruby

Or similarly, like this ruby-dnsruby

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-dnsruby
