How To Uninstall ruby-em-synchrony On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-em-synchrony just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-em-synchrony

fiber aware EventMachine librariesDebian 9.0ruby1.0.5-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-em-synchrony

This will remove just the ruby-em-synchrony package itself.

Uninstall ruby-em-synchrony and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-em-synchrony

This will remove the ruby-em-synchrony package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-em-synchrony then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-em-synchrony

Or similarly, like this ruby-em-synchrony

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-em-synchrony
