How To Uninstall ruby-email-validator On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-email-validator just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-email-validator

email validator for Rails 3+Debian 9.0ruby1.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-email-validator

This will remove just the ruby-email-validator package itself.

Uninstall ruby-email-validator and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-email-validator

This will remove the ruby-email-validator package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-email-validator then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-email-validator

Or similarly, like this ruby-email-validator

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-email-validator
