How To Uninstall ruby-emot On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-emot just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-emot

Yet another emoji handler.Debian 9.0ruby0.0.4-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-emot

This will remove just the ruby-emot package itself.

Uninstall ruby-emot and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-emot

This will remove the ruby-emot package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-emot then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-emot

Or similarly, like this ruby-emot

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-emot
