How To Uninstall ruby-exif On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-exif just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-exif

Ruby library for EXIF tag parsingDebian 9.0ruby0.1.2-21+b7
sudo apt-get remove ruby-exif

This will remove just the ruby-exif package itself.

Uninstall ruby-exif and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-exif

This will remove the ruby-exif package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-exif then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-exif

Or similarly, like this ruby-exif

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-exif
