How To Uninstall ruby-facebox-rails On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-facebox-rails just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-facebox-rails

use Facebox with Rails applicationsDebian 9.0ruby0.2.0-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-facebox-rails

This will remove just the ruby-facebox-rails package itself.

Uninstall ruby-facebox-rails and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-facebox-rails

This will remove the ruby-facebox-rails package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-facebox-rails then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-facebox-rails

Or similarly, like this ruby-facebox-rails

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-facebox-rails
