How To Uninstall ruby-fast-gettext On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-fast-gettext just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-fast-gettext

Fast GetText implementation for RubyDebian 9.0ruby1.3.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-fast-gettext

This will remove just the ruby-fast-gettext package itself.

Uninstall ruby-fast-gettext and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-fast-gettext

This will remove the ruby-fast-gettext package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-fast-gettext then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-fast-gettext

Or similarly, like this ruby-fast-gettext

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-fast-gettext
