How To Uninstall ruby-fog-vsphere On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-fog-vsphere just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-fog-vsphere

Module for the 'fog' gem to support VMware vSphereDebian 9.0ruby0.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-fog-vsphere

This will remove just the ruby-fog-vsphere package itself.

Uninstall ruby-fog-vsphere and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-fog-vsphere

This will remove the ruby-fog-vsphere package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-fog-vsphere then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-fog-vsphere

Or similarly, like this ruby-fog-vsphere

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-fog-vsphere
