How To Uninstall ruby-gelf On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-gelf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-gelf

Ruby GELF library - Graylog2 Extended Log Format library for RubyDebian 9.0ruby1.4.0-4
sudo apt-get remove ruby-gelf

This will remove just the ruby-gelf package itself.

Uninstall ruby-gelf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-gelf

This will remove the ruby-gelf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-gelf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-gelf

Or similarly, like this ruby-gelf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-gelf
