How To Uninstall ruby-gettext-i18n-rails On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-gettext-i18n-rails just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-gettext-i18n-rails

Simple FastGettext Rails integrationDebian 9.0ruby1.5.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-gettext-i18n-rails

This will remove just the ruby-gettext-i18n-rails package itself.

Uninstall ruby-gettext-i18n-rails and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-gettext-i18n-rails

This will remove the ruby-gettext-i18n-rails package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-gettext-i18n-rails then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-gettext-i18n-rails

Or similarly, like this ruby-gettext-i18n-rails

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-gettext-i18n-rails
