How To Uninstall ruby-gherkin On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-gherkin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-gherkin

lexer and parser for the Gherkin language in RubyDebian 9.0ruby4.0.0-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-gherkin

This will remove just the ruby-gherkin package itself.

Uninstall ruby-gherkin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-gherkin

This will remove the ruby-gherkin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-gherkin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-gherkin

Or similarly, like this ruby-gherkin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-gherkin
