How To Uninstall ruby-gnome2 On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-gnome2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-gnome2

GNOME-related bindings for the Ruby languageDebian 9.0ruby3.1.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-gnome2

This will remove just the ruby-gnome2 package itself.

Uninstall ruby-gnome2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-gnome2

This will remove the ruby-gnome2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-gnome2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-gnome2

Or similarly, like this ruby-gnome2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-gnome2
