How To Uninstall ruby-hashdiff On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-hashdiff just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-hashdiff

library for computing the smallest difference between two hashesDebian 9.0ruby0.2.3-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-hashdiff

This will remove just the ruby-hashdiff package itself.

Uninstall ruby-hashdiff and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-hashdiff

This will remove the ruby-hashdiff package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-hashdiff then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-hashdiff

Or similarly, like this ruby-hashdiff

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-hashdiff
