How To Uninstall ruby-hike On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-hike just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-hike

Ruby library to find files in a set of pathsDebian 9.0ruby1.2.1-3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-hike

This will remove just the ruby-hike package itself.

Uninstall ruby-hike and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-hike

This will remove the ruby-hike package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-hike then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-hike

Or similarly, like this ruby-hike

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-hike
