How To Uninstall ruby-hoe On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-hoe just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-hoe

rake/rubygems helper for project RakefilesDebian 9.0ruby3.14.2-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-hoe

This will remove just the ruby-hoe package itself.

Uninstall ruby-hoe and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-hoe

This will remove the ruby-hoe package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-hoe then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-hoe

Or similarly, like this ruby-hoe

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-hoe
