How To Uninstall ruby-htmlentities On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-htmlentities just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-htmlentities

Ruby library for handling HTML entitiesDebian 9.0ruby4.3.3-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-htmlentities

This will remove just the ruby-htmlentities package itself.

Uninstall ruby-htmlentities and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-htmlentities

This will remove the ruby-htmlentities package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-htmlentities then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-htmlentities

Or similarly, like this ruby-htmlentities

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-htmlentities
