How To Uninstall ruby-influxdb On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-influxdb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-influxdb

library for InfluxDBDebian 9.0ruby0.2.3-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-influxdb

This will remove just the ruby-influxdb package itself.

Uninstall ruby-influxdb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-influxdb

This will remove the ruby-influxdb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-influxdb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-influxdb

Or similarly, like this ruby-influxdb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-influxdb
