How To Uninstall ruby-insist On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-insist just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-insist

assertion library for both testing and for production codeDebian 9.0ruby1.0.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-insist

This will remove just the ruby-insist package itself.

Uninstall ruby-insist and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-insist

This will remove the ruby-insist package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-insist then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-insist

Or similarly, like this ruby-insist

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-insist
